What are h-tags? what does it do?

The H tag is actually the abbreviation for the word “headings”. The code is written as h. These tags are used to enlarge text on any web page. Usually, the titles in the pages are written by using these codes. H tag looks more stylish and are known to be more popular with Google. H tags are written in the range of 1 to 6 digits. 7 and above are not used. H1 tag is the largest and h6 tag is the smallest font. When google indexes pages, it gives more importance to h1 tag than h6 tag.

Example:

<h1> SEO</h1>
<h2>SEO Lessons</h2>
<h3>Nofollow in SEO</h3>
<h4>What is Nofollow</h4>
<h5>What is Dofollow</h5>
<h6>Difference between Nofollow and Dofollow</h6>

After the use, these codes can be further enhanced with the CSS file. For example, in order to make the "SEO Melbourne" text bolder and italic, CSS file SEO Melbourne codes are written.

Example:

h1 {
font-weight: bold
font: italic
}

When we write this code to CSS, all articles written with the <h1> tag will be bold and italic. Also, if you have a title that will attract GoogleBot's attention, it is better to use the following code;

<h1 title=" Recent SEO Articles ">SEO Melbourne</h1>

With this code, you can also get top positions in the "Current SEO Articles" searches on Google. With H1 Code, you can specify words and phrases that you want Google to value the most.
